TV Ontario’s Steve Paikin has Michael Fullan on The Agenda on Aboriginal Education

A panel discussion on the future of aboriginal education, a lecture on how technology is changing the face of classrooms and educational activities for children will be part of TVO activities in Peterborough March 2 and 3.

TVO, the province’s public educational media organization, is bringing its On the Road program to Trent University in Peterborough’s north end.

This year, the theme for the On the Road series is Learning 2030, said Jill Javet, TVO vice president of communications and marketing.

New Pedagogies for Deep Learning—or NPDL—believes every student deserves to learn deeply and to support whole systems to transform learning—schools, provinces, states and countries to want to take action, make a positive impact and grasp opportunities that will lead to success in life.

NPDL works alongside educators and governments to change the role of teachers to that of activators of learning who design learning experiences that build on learner strengths and needs, create new knowledge using real-life problem solving and help all students identify their talents, purpose and passion.
